We are an Argentine startup that was founded in 2012, in the city of Buenos Aires.
We worked very hard, grew and expanded in Latin America, where we are already the largest company in this field.
To give you an idea of our operations, as of today we have:
- More than a million users.
- More than 100,000 new freelancers registered each month.
- More than 20,000 companies hire freelancers per month.
We are a team of more than 40 people who work hard every day to make Workana the leading freelancer recruitment marketplace.
Opening our portal in Asia is the new and exciting challenge we are facing.
Why does Workana come to your region?
Since the first day, we have set out to democratize the world of work. We want freelancers to have more alternatives and for clients who need to hire them to be able to access them quickly and efficiently. And, of course, by setting a price that both parties find appropriate.
As I told you, we started in Argentina. Then came Brazil and later we expanded throughout Latin America.
At the beginning of 2018, with the idea of continuing to grow and start operating in Asia, we received funding of $ 7 million dollars from the Australian company SEEK.
SEEK also owns the JobStreet recruitment portal. So, as you can see, we didn’t come to the region alone, but we will have all the support of these companies, which will help us to give you a great service.
The truth is that we are very happy with these new developments. We look forward to helping you find the best freelance talent every time you need to carry out a project.
The world of work is changing. In this context, freelance recruitment is the future of work. We believe in it. It is a phenomenon that grows year after year for all the benefits it brings.
Our proposal is to make it increasingly accessible to all.
In the next few days we will tell you how our growth in Asia is going. We have made a stronger start in Malaysia and Singapore and plan to open our offices in Kuala Lumpur very soon.
